    How do I obtain a Concealed Weapons Permit?
    Permits may be obtained from the Limestone Police Department at the office loacted at 93 Main Street.  Applicants must be a resident of Limestone, have completed a firearms safety course, and submit a check or money order for $35.00 at the time of submission of the application for first time permits and $20.00 for renewals.  All requests must meet the State of Maine standards for issuing permits.


    How do I register a bicycle?
    Registrations are obtained at the Limestone Department at no cost. Applicants must have the bicycle with them or the serial number and complete description of the bicycle at the time of registration.


    How do I get a copy of an accident or police report?
    Reports may be obtained at the Limestone Police Department by contacting the Chief of Police, M-F, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm in person, by phone or by letter.  Reports cost $5.00, per report, for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.


    How do I register a complaint about a Police Officer?
    Contact the Chief of Police of the Limestone Police Department between the hours of 7:00 am to 3:00 pm M-F. Contact may be in person, by phone, or by mail.


    How do I make a report to the police?
    Contact the Limestone Police Department at 911 for emergencies and at 325-4702 for non-emergency complaints.


    How do I get a protection order?
    Protection orders may be obtained at the Caribou District Court located at 144 Sweden Street in Caribou.  


    What are the Operating Hours of the Police Department?
    The Limestone Police Department is a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year agency.  The Office is open to the general public M-F 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.  If you  need to meet an officer at the Limestone Police Department during off hours please call 325-4702.


    What do I do if I need to make an animal complaint or my pet is missing?
    The Limestone Police Department handles all domestic animal complaints.  All stray animals are taken to the Caribou Pet Rescue located at 6 Richards Road in Caribou.  Phone 498-3800.


    Does the Police Department do fingerprints for the Public?
    Fingerprints may be obtained at the Limestone Police Department for a fee of $2.00.


    Does the Police Department Unlock Vehicles?
    Due to liability reasons, the Limestone Police Department does not unlock vehicles. Persons in need of assistance may contact AAA Road Service if they are an AAA member, a wrecker service, or a locksmith.
