Water & Sewer District

The LDF is a non-profit corporation comprised of an executive director, administrative assistant, an eleven-person board of directors and a broad cross section of Limestone residents. This group coordinates closely with Limestone's municipal officers, Town Manager, regional development organizations such as the Northern Maine Development Commission and state government.

Services provided by the LDF include administering a $75,000 revolving loan for small businesses, writes/administers town grants, provides business consulting for local businesses, works closely with town government in providing ideas, plans for major/minor capital improvements within the community.

The LDF manages a 47-acre Industrial Park, which is considered the best-developed industrial site for heavy construction in Aroostook County. This site is fully serviced, with access to water, sewer, rail, and power. Development professionals are currently marketing this property and are available to assist potential locating businesses.
